CPM turns ED action on Vijayan into national fight

For investors and markets, the immediate significance is limited, but the broader economic risk comes from a harder political line between India’s major opposition forces and the ruling BJP ahead of key state and national battles. A more confrontational opposition could make coalition management harder, while any escalation around anti-corruption probes raises uncertainty for policy continuity in politically sensitive states.
