Flagship Minerals lifts Isidora resource to 2.1Moz

Flagship Minerals is leaning harder into gold and copper at a time when investors are rewarding disciplined capital allocation and punishing dilution in junior miners.
The ASX-listed company said it has doubled the mineral resource estimate at its Isidora gold project to 2.1 million ounces without drilling, while also pushing ahead with metallurgical work, expansion drilling and permitting ahead of a prefeasibility study targeted for early 2027.

That matters because Isidora gives Flagship a larger gold base without the immediate cost and shareholder dilution that usually come with a resource upgrade. For a company with a market value of about A$60.7 million, proof that it can grow ounces cheaply is a key lever for rerating.
Flagship is also building copper exposure through the Whipsaw project, which it says it secured with minimal dilution. Copper has been volatile as traders weigh U.S. tariff risks and patchy demand, but the metal remains central to the electrification trade and long-term supply deficits.
The company said it has exited lithium and plans to divest tungsten, part of a portfolio cleanup aimed at crystallizing value and potentially spinning out Whipsaw to shareholders. That is the kind of capital-light restructuring investors often prefer in smaller resource names, especially when boards and management hold financial interests aligned with outside holders.
Flagship’s latest update also lands with a Buy rating on the stock and a A$1.03 target, though the shares are still a speculative play on resource growth, permitting and metal prices rather than near-term production. The next catalysts are metallurgical results, further drilling at Isidora, copper-market moves and any funding or partnership announcements.
