INTA Uses Customer Golf Day to Support Orders
PT Intraco Penta is leaning on customer engagement to defend its heavy equipment business as Indonesia’s weaker economy pressures demand and leaves the company focused on keeping long-term clients close.
The company staged a Customer Golf Day 2026 with Techking at Suvarna Jakarta Golf Club on Sept. 12, using the event to strengthen communication, appreciation and cross-selling ties with customers. For a distributor tied to capital spending cycles, that matters because repeat orders, service relationships and aftermarket work can be more durable than one-off equipment sales.
INTA said the strategy is designed to support business continuity at a time when management sees economic headwinds affecting 2026 performance. In practice, that means the company is trying to preserve its installed customer base while looking for new cooperation that can offset slower project activity.
The effort comes after a modest improvement in operating results. INTA booked consolidated revenue of Rp966.92 billion in 2025, up from Rp954.68 billion a year earlier, while net loss narrowed to Rp81.09 billion from Rp117.84 billion. The company attributed the improvement to operating efficiency, tighter governance, portfolio optimization and growth initiatives aimed at longer-term businesses.
For investors, the key question is whether relationship-building can translate into steadier revenue and a cleaner earnings profile in a sector that tends to swing with commodity prices, construction spending and financing conditions. A stronger customer network can help protect margins and reduce volatility, but it does not fully insulate the company if equipment demand stays soft.
The near-term catalyst is whether INTA can turn customer retention into better order flow and further loss reduction through the rest of 2026.
