Avalanche’s latest push toward $12 is being powered less by short-term trading noise than by a bigger story investors should care about: real-world assets are starting to show up on the blockchain in meaningful size.
Avalanche AVAX Rises on Tokenized Treasuries Growth
The AVAX token rose 3.6% to trade around $11.53, putting it within sight of a level that has repeatedly capped the rally. But the more durable catalyst is the jump in tokenized U.S. Treasuries on the Avalanche network to about $545 million, according to RWA.xyz data cited by Avalanche. That was up 14% in the third quarter and roughly four times the level of a year ago.
That matters because tokenized Treasuries are one of the clearest early use cases for blockchain in mainstream finance. They let investors hold exposure to short-term U.S. government debt in token form, blending the familiarity of a traditional safe asset with the speed and portability of a digital ledger. For Avalanche, that gives the network something the market has long demanded from crypto infrastructure projects: evidence that institutions are actually using it.
For investors, that is a different kind of bull case than the usual token speculation. If Avalanche keeps attracting tokenized real-world assets, it strengthens the argument that AVAX is not just a tradeable coin but a platform with staying power. Network activity tied to Treasuries can support fee generation, deepen liquidity and help anchor long-term demand for the chain itself.
The price action also shows the market is paying attention. AVAX has rebounded almost 60% from a low around $7.23 and has moved back above key average price levels watched by traders, with the 50-day moving average now well below the spot price. The challenge is still the same one: buyers have failed several times to secure a daily close above the $11.70 to $12 area. A clean break there could open the way to $13, while a pullback under about $10.40 would weaken the move and invite more profit-taking.
The broader investment story is straightforward. Crypto rallies are usually fragile when they rest only on momentum. They tend to last longer when they are tied to real adoption. Avalanche’s growing share of tokenized Treasuries suggests the network is inching closer to that second category. For long-term investors, that makes AVAX worth watching, especially if you believe the next phase of crypto is about financial plumbing, not just price charts.
