H2APEX Group SCA is preparing to move its shares from Frankfurt’s regulated market, Prime Standard, to the exchange’s Scale segment, a step the company says will cut compliance costs and administrative burden for the small-cap hydrogen developer.
H2APEX to Move from Prime Standard to Scale

The decision underscores the economics of keeping a thinly traded micro-cap in a higher-regulation venue. H2APEX said the requirements and expenses tied to the current listing are no longer proportionate to the benefits for a company of its size, and that the shift should free up resources for operations while preserving public trading in Frankfurt.
The company plans to apply soon for the revocation of its Prime Standard admission and for inclusion in Scale. The transfer will take effect once the Frankfurt Stock Exchange publishes its decisions, and H2APEX noted the move is now allowed without a delisting tender offer following a change in law.
For investors, the story is less about any immediate operational impact than about liquidity, visibility and trading conditions. H2APEX’s shares trade at just 3 euro cents and closed unchanged at that level on Sept. 17 before plunging to 1 cent on Sept. 18 in heavy volume of 880,000 shares, suggesting the stock remains highly sensitive to structure-related news and low-liquidity swings.
Technically, the stock was already weak, with the price below its 200-day moving average of 4 cents and the relative strength index falling to 29.3 on Sept. 18, a conventional indicator that can point to oversold conditions. The move to Scale may reduce reporting and listing overhead, but it also typically places a company in a less demanding segment with reduced prestige and potentially narrower institutional attention.
H2APEX said it will keep the market informed as the transfer process advances. The key catalyst now is Frankfurt’s decision on the applications, which will determine whether the company can complete the move and reset its public-market profile at lower cost.
