Aegean ferry operator Attica Group is pushing more of its ticketing, loyalty and add-on sales into one digital channel with the launch of the Seamore app, a move aimed at making it easier for passengers to book, check in and buy ancillary services while keeping them inside the group’s own ecosystem.
Attica Group launches Seamore ferry booking app
That matters because ferry operators make money not just from the base ticket, but from upgrades, meals, WiFi, parking, taxis and loyalty-driven repeat bookings. By bundling those services into one app, Attica is trying to raise conversion, lift ancillary revenue and reduce friction at the point of sale.
The app brings together Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, Superfast Ferries and Anek Lines under a single login, with users able to save fellow travelers, vehicles and pets, complete web check-in and access Seasmiles account information. It also offers discounts on ticket-linked purchases, including 10% off selected WiFi packages and up to 20% off a la carte restaurant menus aboard ships.
Attica is also tying the platform to third-party transport and parking services, including Freenow by Lyft for taxis and Parkaround for parking at Piraeus port, signaling a wider push to own more of the customer journey before and after the sailing itself. For investors, that kind of integrated booking funnel can support pricing power and customer retention in a sector that is highly seasonal and sensitive to fuel costs and tourism demand.
The timing fits a broader travel shift toward more seamless mobile booking, where operators are trying to capture travelers who expect airline-like digital convenience even on ferries. The company said the app also provides destination information, travel suggestions, discount visibility and a 24/7 help center for bookings, cancellations and travel documents.
The next test is adoption: whether passengers actually move from fragmented ticketing and phone support to the new app, and whether the platform can translate convenience into higher yield and loyalty revenue through the summer sailing season.
