The Jakarta Composite Index rebounded at the open on Friday, rising 0.27% to 6,315 as buying returned across every major sector after a recent stretch of volatility and foreign outflows.
Jakarta Composite Index Rebounds at Friday Open

One minute into trade, the benchmark was up 0.34% at 6,320, with 229 stocks advancing, 169 declining and 565 unchanged. Early turnover reached Rp217 billion on volume of 598 million shares, suggesting investors were back in selectively after the index had been under pressure in recent sessions.

The recovery matters because the IHSG has been moving in a volatile range and has struggled with global risk aversion, weak sentiment around quarter-end positioning and sustained foreign selling. A firmer open does not erase those headwinds, but it shows domestic buyers are still willing to step in when prices soften, especially after a stretch of broad declines.
Sector performance was uniformly positive, with gains in basic materials, transportation, energy, infrastructure, property, industrials, technology, non-cyclical and cyclical consumer shares, financials and healthcare. That breadth is important for investors because it indicates the rebound is not being driven by one defensive pocket, but by a wider bid across the market.

Among early movers, PT Guna Timur Raya Tbk (TRUK) and PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk (FORU) were among the top gainers, alongside Batavia SRI-KEHATI ETF. On the losing side were PT Wahana Inti Makmur Tbk (NASI), Panin ETF IDX30 Dinamis and PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk (UNSP).
For investors, the key question is whether the early rebound can hold into the close as quarter-end flows, overseas cues and foreign fund activity continue to shape direction. A sustained move back above recent support levels would ease pressure on local sentiment, while another reversal would reinforce the view that the index remains fragile.
