Alpha Data Analytics merges with MEELY to build alternative data strategies
Alpha Data Analytics, a Danish data broker, joins forces with the Krakow-based AI-driven travel search company MEELY.AI to strengthen sentiment analysis for the finance sector and other products. The joint stock company will operate as Alpha Data Analytics PSA but will maintain MEELY’s travel search business and technologies.
In February 2022, Alpha Data Analytics officially merged with MEELY, a Polish company with unique artificial intelligence and machine learning models, as well as data collection technologies, operating in the area of travel and sentiment data search.
Founded in 2020 in Copenhagen, Alpha Data Analytics helps customers capitalize on dormant data – billions of entries from hundreds of data sources – opening doors for top decision makers in finance, politics or marketing by giving insight into investor and media sentiment, business activity and other areas of value. Alpha Data Analytics also merges public data with internal datasets for in-depth analysis and unparalleled business insights. The company already works with several European investment funds and manufacturers to provide data-based directions for strategic and tactical decisions.
“Working with MEELY, we found a market disruptive dataset, AI/ML and technology matching perfectly with our analytical capabilities, and core company values,” says Thomas Bojer Eltorp, the co-founder of Alpha Data Analytics. “We decided to join forces to create a stronger single entity focusing further on consumer and business sentiment analysis, custom data collection and other new products. On top of our current insights in the areas such as macroeconomics and geopolitics, MEELY will help us to strengthen our travel demand portfolio.”
The company's Sentiment Explorer collects and analyses more than 100,000 data entries from thousands of media and social media sources to provide real-time and historical insights on sentiment as a highly actionable forward-looking consensus indicator on company, industry, and sector levels. Alpha Data Analytics also tracks Danish business activity data and merges public data with internal data sets.
Alpha Data Analytics will now have two offices, in Denmark and in Poland.
