Gold and silver prices fell in Pakistan on Tuesday, giving local buyers a modest break as the rupee also firmed slightly against the dollar.
Pakistan Gold and Silver Prices Fall as Rupee Firms

The price of silver fell Rs 62 to Rs 7,038 per tola, while gold slipped Rs 1,800 to Rs 455,736 per tola and Rs 1,543 to Rs 390,720 per 10 grams, according to market data cited in Karachi. The moves tracked a softer international bullion market, where gold lost $18 to $4,332 an ounce.

A weaker dollar helped cushion the impact for domestic consumers and importers. In the interbank market, the rupee rose by one paisa to close at 277.21 against the greenback, extending a recent run of currency stability after Friday’s finish at 277.22.
For investors and jewellers, the combination of lower bullion prices and a firmer rupee reduces replacement costs and can support retail demand, especially after recent sharp swings in precious metals. Silver may also draw added attention from local buyers looking for cheaper entry points after the latest correction.
The next test for the market will be whether further moves in global gold prices and the dollar continue to pressure local rates or whether seasonal buying brings back demand at lower levels.
