Frasers Centrepoint Trust lifted its full-year distribution to a record after stronger rent collection and income growth across its Singapore mall portfolio, while Olam Group moved to reassure investors it has no direct exposure to Indonesia’s forest and peatland fires.
Frasers Centrepoint Trust DPU Hits Record High
For FCT, the stronger payout is the most economically meaningful development in the day’s Singapore stock list. The trust said distribution per unit for the second half ended September rose 2.6% to S$0.06214, taking FY2026 DPU to a new high of S$0.1235. Revenue climbed 8.7% to S$223 million and net property income increased 11.5% to S$160.9 million, helped by contributions from Northpoint City South Wing and higher passing rents across most of its malls.
That matters for investors because Singapore retail trusts are being judged on their ability to defend income in a higher-rate environment. A new DPU peak suggests FCT continues to convert rent growth into cash distributions, supporting valuation even as the broader market stays cautious ahead of policy decisions and earnings releases in Asia.
Olam’s update was more defensive, but still market-relevant. The group said neither it nor Olam Agri owns or operates oil palm plantations or concessions in Indonesia, and therefore has no direct operational exposure to the recent fires. It also said it was unaware of any formal regulatory inquiry or notice tied to the haze issue, after responding to questions from Singapore Exchange Regulation.
For Olam, the key issue is not current operations but reputational and regulatory risk. Any haze-related scrutiny can weigh on sentiment in Singapore, where investors remain sensitive to environmental liability, disclosure standards and supply-chain exposure across agribusiness names.
OUE Reit was also on watch as investors continue to look for the next income or asset catalyst in the REIT sector, where yield support remains a core driver of trading. In a market where the Singapore REIT trade is highly rate-sensitive, names with clearer income visibility and refinancing discipline are likely to attract the most attention.
The near-term focus for the three counters will be whether FCT can sustain its payout momentum, whether Olam faces any follow-up from regulators, and whether OUE Reit can offer a fresh catalyst to re-rate its units.
