XRP Holds $1.43 as ETF Inflows Build

XRP climbed 3.77% to $1.43, but traders are still staring at a narrow ceiling just above that level as fresh ETF demand and looming U.S. policy events set the tone for the next move.
The token closed at $1.43 on Sept. 9 after bouncing from intraday weakness, with technical traders watching the $1.4437 to $1.4586 zone as the immediate barrier. A decisive break there would expose $1.55 and then the August peak near $1.70, while $1.35 remains the key support and a drop below it would open a lower band around $1.23 to $1.30.
The rally matters because XRP is not moving in isolation. U.S. spot XRP ETFs pulled in $18.96 million in the week to Sept. 4, their eighth straight week of inflows, bringing cumulative inflows to $1.68 billion. That steady demand is helping offset recent price swings and suggests institutions are still allocating to the asset even as the spot market stalls at resistance.
On-chain positioning adds to the tension. The gap between large and small transactions widened from 33% to 45.8%, indicating bigger holders are active while retail traders wait for confirmation. That kind of concentration can amplify either direction: it supports the price if whales keep buying, but it can also make the market fragile if they pause.
Macro and regulatory events could decide whether XRP clears the wall or fades back. The U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote on the CLARITY Act on Sept. 15, followed by a Federal Reserve rate decision a day later, giving traders two catalysts that could reshape risk appetite across crypto. Even the bullish case points to only about 20% upside over several weeks, underscoring how much of the move still depends on Washington rather than pure market momentum.
For investors, the setup is simple: ETF inflows and whale activity are keeping XRP constructive, but the token still needs a policy-friendly backdrop and a clean technical break to justify a larger move. Until then, the market is likely to treat $1.43 as a test of whether institutional demand is strong enough to carry XRP through the next resistance band.
